College offers six personal enrichment spring classes

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – Westminster College will offer several personal enrichment and leisure courses for community residents.

Continuing education classes and seminars are non-credit and open to all interested individuals.

Formal admission to Westminster College is not required.

Sessions. Total Yoga Session B is offered Mondays, March 10-April 17, at 5:30 p.m., and is taught by Kathy Birkholz.

This class will focus on poses to aid in stress reduction and relaxation.

Pilates Session B is offered Wednesdays, March 12-April 9, at 6 p.m., and is taught by Birkholz.

This class follows the teachings of Joseph Pilates in strengthening the core of abdominal muscles along with toning and elongating the rest of the muscles of the body.

Power Yoga Session B is offered Tuesdays and Thursdays, March 11-April 10, at 6:30 p.m., and is taught by Birkholz.

This class increases the speed that the poses are performed, as well as the length of time they are held.

Fit for Life for Seniors Session B is offered Wednesdays, March 12-April 9, at 10 a.m., and is taught by Birkholz.

This yoga class moves slowly and gently to aid in mobility and general physical health.

Shopping for Savings is offered March 1 at 10 a.m.

This seminar, taught by Kara Lee Mantinaos, will go over techniques to save time and money while shopping.

Computers for Seniors Level II is offered Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, March 11-20, at 6:30 p.m., and is taught by Mary Zahniser.

This course is for seniors who have either completed level one, or those with experience that matches the concepts of level one.
