Feeding America's Hungry

Even though statistics say that U.S. employment is rising, the number of Americans who face food insecurity will not necessarily fall, according to Huffington Post.

Feeding America, a relief charity, provides for 46.5 million Americans who struggle to purchase affordable, healthy food. Government funding for the program has been cut, so many people will have have less money to spend on food. Some people already have to choose between paying their bills and paying for medical care instead of food.

From Huffington Post:

“The USDA said last year there were 49 million Americans who lack consistent access to enough food, suggesting there are millions in the U.S. experiencing hunger who aren’t using food pantries or soup kitchens served by the organization.”
