HARRISBURG, Pa. – Are you serious about grazing? Michigan State University grazing expert Ben Bartlet will find out in his keynote address during a series of three grazing conferences offered this winter in Pennsylvania.

The Northwest Grazing Conference will lead off on Feb. 27 at the Ramada Inn located in DuBois. The Pennsylvania Grazing and Forage Conference will be held Feb. 28 and March 1 at the Holiday Inn located in Grantville.

The Bradford and Tioga Grazing Conference will finish the circuit March 2 at the Fire Hall in Troy.

Bartlet is involved with livestock production and has traveled the world to set up beef cattle operations. He has become one of the country’s leaders in pasture watering systems.

His keynote address for these conferences is “Are you Serious About Grazing?”

Joining Bartlet at the conferences will be Greg Cuomo, director of the Minnesota Research Station in Morris, Minn. As a former pasture and grazing expert in Minnesota, he has conducted a considerable amount of research on pasture establishment and renovation and he will address the conferences on that topic.

He also has extensive experience with extending the grazing season.
