Texas Sheet Cake

Ingredients

• Melt 2 sticks of oleo in sauce pan.
• Add:
• 1 cup water
• 4 tablespoons cocoa
• Bring to a boil and add:
• 2 cups sugar
• 2 cups flour
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• 2 eggs
• 1/2 cup sour cream
• 1 teaspoon vanilla

Stir slightly. Pour into greased and floured oblong cookie sheet (which has rim). Bake at 350° for 15 minutes.

• Icing

(Make while cake bakes)

• Into sauce pan melt:
• 1 stick oleo
• 4 tablespoons cocoa
• 6 tablespoons milk
• Bring to a boil and add:
• 1 powdered sugar, sifted
• 1 cup nut meats
• 1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions

As soon as cake is out of the oven, spread icing over cake and cool. Cut into squares to serve.
