Learning and practicing proper care of pets that go outdoors during winter’s harsh weather can add to the quality and safety of each pet’s life. It is critical to protect them from frost bite and poisoning from dangerous chemicals. With this in mind the partnership of Salem Public Library and Salem Parks and Recreation to provide “Go Wild in the Park” educational programming are pleased to host a program to be presented by Dr. Fred Bennett, DVM, on Wednesday, January 27, 2016, from 6:30-7:30 p.m. in the library’s Quaker Meeting Room located at 821 E. State St., Salem, OH.

Registration is recommended through the library’s website at www.salem.lib.oh.us or by calling Shane at 330-332-5512. This program is open to the public and free of cost to attend.

Dr. Bennett is a veterinarian with the Lisbon Veterinary Clinic. He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the American Association of Bovine Practitioners (cattle vets), the Ohio Dairy Vets, and serves on the Ohio Department of Agriculture Cattle Health Advisory Board.
