Ingredients:
- 3 cups flour
- ½ cup sugar
- 2 tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp baking soda
- 2 sticks butter/margarine
- ½ cup sour cream
- ¼ cup milk
- 2 egg yolks
- 1 tsp vanilla
- cans of cherry pie filling
Directions:
- Mix dry ingredients and butter together using a pastry blender. Mix eggs, sour cream, milk and vanilla together and add to dry ingredients. Set 1 cup of dough aside. Press remaining dough into baking sheet.
- Roll cup of dough OUT to approximately ¼ inch thickness and cut into ½ inch strips for top.
- Spread cherry filling into the pan and play strips on top in a lattice pattern. Brush with egg white or milk.
- Bake at 350 for 35 minutes.
