Salem Public Library Presents: An Adventurer’s Climb

Salem Public Library will host a presentation by Salem Attorney Bruce Williams on Wednesday, April 6, 2016, beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the library’s Quaker Room. Over the course of three years, Mr. Williams and three other climbers from the Salem, Ohio area planned and executed the climbing of the world’s highest free-standing mountain, Kilimanjaro, in Tanzania, Africa. Mr. Williams will share in stories and photos the details of his exciting climb.

Adventurist and community leader Bruce Williams has practiced law in the Salem area since 1983 from his office in the historic Hamilton Howell House at Highland Corner, Salem. His adventures include climbing to the summits of Pikes Peak and Mt. Kilimanjaro. He has led expeditions to remote areas of South America, Asia, Africa, the Middle East and the Arctic. His service to the Salem community includes Director of the Salem Area Chamber of Commerce, Salem Salvation Army Advisory Board member for the past 25 years, and Past President of Salem Kiwanis Club to name just a few.
