Learn more about honey bees and their value to nature when “The Life of a Honey Bee from Birth to Death” is the topic of the program to be presented by R. Bruce Zimmer at Salem Public Library on June 28, 2017 from 6:30-7:30pm in the library’s Quaker Room located at 821 E. State St., Salem, OH. The discussion will include information about the queen, drones and worker bees. Mr. Zimmer will bring an observation hive with live bees for viewing.

Mr. Zimmer is the president of the Columbiana Mahoning County Beekeepers Association. He has been a beekeeper for five years and has seven hives of his own. He is also a retired computer programmer and educator. He currently owns and operates a dog and cat boarding kennel.
