Angus Association plans field day in Lebanon

LEBANON, Ohio — The Ohio Angus Association will hold its Field Day Aug. 18 at Home Acres Farm in Lebanon, Ohio. The annual event is being co-sponsored by the Miami Valley Angus Association and will have a lot to offer to Angus enthusiasts and all cattle producers.

Activities

Highlights of the event will include: cattle on display from local Angus breeders, a full meal featuring Certified Angus Beef Prime Rib and homemade ice cream, industry vendors and an educational program, including speakers: Bryce Schumann, CEO American Angus Association; Francis Fluharty, research professor, Ohio State University Animal Science Dept; and Mark McCully, vice president supply development, Certified Angus Beef.

Location

The Field Day will be hosted at Home Acres Farm in Lebanon, Ohio, by Terry and Cindy Schuh and family. The Schuhs operate a 50-head purebred Angus operation northwest of Lebanon, on Hart Road.

The Schuhs are longtime members of the American Angus, Ohio Angus and Miami Valley Angus Associations.

The Schuh’s utilize a managed intensive grazing program on their farm, running 50 cows on 50 acres of pasture. Walking tours of their grazing program will also be available to attendees interested in learning more.
