SMITHVILLE, Ohio — The Smithville High School Ag Leadership class and FFA had the opportunity to have Wayne County Commissioner Anne Obrecht visit the class.

In the Ag Leadership class, FFA members join together each day to work on leadership skills and other FFA events. Obrecht taught the class how important it is for people involved in agriculture to also be involved in their government.

MILLERSBURG, Ohio — The West Holmes FFA Chapter showcased a float in the Antique Festival Parade in Millersburg Oct. 5.

The members that rode on the float were Alyx Morris, Juanita Miller, Harlie Spurlock, Paige Miller, Hannah Schlegel, Jaeden Roloff, Tyler Lyons, Kara Leadbetter, Lexi Kinstle, Lyndsey Davis, Dylan Harsh, Elise Neville, Morgan Hoxworth, Chris Vansickle, Hailee Carter, Gabe Armstrong, Carter Smith, Jeared Miller, Jarrett Brooks, Takoda Weaver, and Chris Sprang.

The float was voted best youth float.
