50 years ago this week. A white Christmas has been predicted as a good prospect for the Salem area by weatherman L. H. Copeland. As we look out the window, however, it looks more like the Easter season, with the bright sunshine making it look like a spring day.

25 years ago this week. Tim Grimes of Paris, Ohio, showed the overall champion barrow in the junior show at the Keystone International Livestock Expo. Tim and his feather, Delbert, also had reserve champion in the open show. Tim also showed the first place lightweight market lamb and reserve champion pen of three in the open class.
