MERCER, Pa. — Mercer County 4-H members received recognition at a Nov. 12 awards ceremony for their achievements in the 4-H program.

Lena Aiken and Kacy Scott were named the outstanding 4-H members in Mercer County for 2011. Outstanding 4-H members have grown through 4-H and represent 4-H, school and their community in a positive way.

Members who were recognized for their project books were: Bradley Ferguson, Maggie Garvis, Ben Kimmel, Miranda Lattyak, Andrew Miles, Kacy Scott and Jocelyn Snyder.

Members recognized for their achievement in their officer books were: Kacy Scott, president; Bradley Ferguson, treasurer; and Hadley Yeagley, news reporter.

County Council officers for 2011 include: Kacy Scott, president; Aubrey Braham, vice president; and Alisha Henry, secretary/treasurer.

The 2011 4-H youth who received Outstanding First-Year Member awards were: Melissa Kulp, Rebekah Leise, Hayden Maine and Hannah Sturgin.

The 2011 4-H youth recognized with Emerging Leader awards were: Kelly MacRae and Joycelyn Snyder.
