BERLIN CENTER, Ohio — Western Reserve Rangers 4-H club member Sara Cummings was the 2011 outstanding female youth from the Youth Organizations of the Canfield Junior Fair, and club member Katherine Pitcairn was one of five young women serving on the 2011 4-H royal court.

Cummings, the daughter of Ken and Tina Cummings of Springfield Township, is also a member of the Ellsworth Junior Farmers 4-H Club. Pitcairn is the daughter of Jim and Diane Pitcairn of Ellsworth Township.

The Rangers’ 4-H educational booth display at the Canfield Fair won two first place banners: the rotating booth award for large 4-H clubs and the best promotion of 4-H.

Janet and Amanda Majirsky created the club’s first place award for the recycled division in the flower box contest. Ranger members Hannah Mowery and Jena Styka served on the Canfield Junior Fair Board. Western Reserve Rangers 4-H Club will meet again Nov. 10 at 7 p.m.
