CRESTON, Ohio — On Dec. 22, the Norwayne FFA traveled to snow trails in Mansfield for a day of snow tubing. Many members attended the activity.

WEST SALEM — The Northwestern-Wayne FFA Parliamentary Procedure team traveled to Columbus for the State Competition Dec. 20.

The team performed the best they ever had, but fell short of making the second round. The team placed third in their division.

Team members included Kyle Schirm, Karly Berry, Kelsey Bowers, Jerrin Hill, Jessica Wellert, Rachael Gortner, Zach Hottel, Olivia Stover, Travis Clark and Zane Dilyard.

ALBANY, Ohio — The Alexander FFA’s varsity Parliamentary Procedure team participated in the district competition Dec. 2 at Waterford High School.

Members who participated were Kara Oberholzer, Ethan Sayers, Kara Endick, Noelle Eveland, Whitney Mullins, Ben Smith, Kim Holcomb, Jacob Smith, Jessie Sinclair and Brian Sparks.

Overall the team placed third out of five teams.

Throughout the winter months members of the chapter have been involved in community meals. Community meals take place every Tuesday and serves meals to those who attend.

During meals members help serve food, set up tables and chairs and do dishes.

Additionally, the chapter began selling fruit as a fundraiser. The chapter hopes to raise enough money to participate in many activities throughout the new year.

ASHLAND, Ohio — The Mapleton FFA Senior Parliamentary Procedure team traveled to Columbus to compete at the state contest Dec. 20.

The team consisted of Jonni Rohr, president; Christine Ritchie, vice president; Jared Wynn, treasurer; Shelby Rohr, secretary; Diana Burton, reporter; Brittany Telakowicz, student adviser; Emily McKinley, sentinel and discussion members Olivia Whitaker, Deandra Lowman and Shelby Emmons.

They placed 14th out of 20 teams with a score of 957 points.
