SALEM, Ohio — The Slow Moving Vehicle sign has been a legal requirement in Ohio for 50 years, and the creation of the sign goes back even further. Engineers from Ohio State University’s Department of Agricultural Engineering played a key role in developing and promoting the sign.

In the June 16 edition of Farm and Dairy, we printed an infographic to help show the historical markers in the sign’s history. While a simple sign, this one design has helped save many lives and keep motorists and farmers safe.
