EAST LIVERPOOL, Ohio — The Beaver Creek Wildlife Education Center will host “Wine and Wildlife” on April 25 from 6-9 p.m. at the center, 12884 Echo Dell Road, East Liverpool. Local artists will get to display their works of nature-themed art while enjoying hors d’oeuvres, desserts and Ohio wines. Attendees will also get to tour the building, art displays and garden.

“Wine and Wildlife” is the Beaver Creek Wildlife Education Center’s annual pre-season opening fundraising event. The center was founded in 2002 by local biology teacher Jim Kerr, and has since expanded from a former park ranger’s dwellings into a multi-room and ground display showcasing the conservation of wildlife and the natural environment. Admission is free to the center. The center is open on Saturdays and Sundays, from the first weekend of May until the first weekend of October.

To request an invitation, call Karen Henry at 330-932-0908 or contact her by email at kr.swanson59@yahoo.com.

Submitting artwork. Artists can submit artwork in any media form, but the subject must represent the natural world like wildlife and natural landscapes. Artists will get the chance to network and sell their pieces, if desired, with no commission fee charged. Art portfolios are also allowed. The cost to register is $25 for one piece and an additional $10 for a second. Due to space, artists may be restricted to displaying one piece, which must be displayable on standing or tabletop easels, plate holders or wired to hang. Artists must include the exact size of the piece when registering. Artwork can also be included in the center’s basket raffle, which supports the non-profit organization.

The deadline to register for the event is April 8. Early registration is required as artwork space is limited. Karen Henry will make arrangements with artists to set up their work the day before the event. To register, call or text Karen Henry at 412-334-0628 or email kr.swanson59@yahoo.com.
