DELTA, Ohio — Delta FFA competed in the Ag Power Diagnostics Career Development Event on Jan. 26 where a team of six members took the online ag power exam. This team consisted of Jacob Schlatter, Layton Fisher, Talon Nation, Greyor Doxtator, Ethan Wilson and Elwin Griewahn. Schlatter and Doxtator advanced to districts at Sherwood Redline on Feb. 10. The two finished in sixth place.

HOWARD, Ohio — East Knox FFA recently competed in the state contest for the General Livestock Career Development Event and the Equine Management Career Development Event. John Chadwick also represented the chapter in the state poultry event.

HOWARD, Ohio — Four members of the East Knox FFA chapter recently competed in the State FFA Milk Quality and Products Career Development Event at Ohio State University’s Exposition Center where they placed 12th. The team included seniors Ariel Atkinson and Joey Lively, sophomore Nealie Oliver and freshmen McKenzie Schwartz.

AMANDA, Ohio — Four members of the Amanda-Clearcreek FFA traveled to Washington D.C. on March 22-25 to attend the National Association of Agricultural Educators National Policy Seminar. Members kicked off the trip by visiting Ohio Sen. John Husted and Bernie Moreno, where they talked about the opportunities FFA offers and events the chapter has participated in. They also visited with United States House Rep. Troy Balderson, Shontel M. Brown, Mike Carey, Warren Davidson and Max L. Miller where members highlighted the achievements of their chapter and future plans. Chapter members received information about current events impacting agriculture from Josie Montoney, who works in the House of Representatives Agricultural Committee Office, including the Farm Bill and genetically modified organisms.

At the end of the trip, members had the opportunity to attend and observe a Senate session as well as visit the National Botanic Gardens in their free time. Members who went on the trip were Catherine Buckley, Grace Martin, Emma Strickler and Riley Strickler

RICHMOND, Ohio — Edison FFA hosted its annual banquet on April 13 where chapter members were elected as officers and recognized for their accomplishments.

Officers elected for the 2026-2027 school year were Bella Evans, president; Maddie Granatir, vice president; Ellie Richards, secretary; Noah Lucas, treasurer; Kloe Riley, sentinel; Leila Sudvary, historian; Chloe Cornish, chaplain; Adrienne Granatir, reporter and Mimi Ault, student advisor.

Chapter degrees were awarded to Jaidyn Carlson, Kaden Eddy, Presley Leake, Emily Mikula, Steve Vahalik, Mayelee Rawson, Mikayla Wade, Leila Sudvary, Mimi Ault, Alexis Aguilera and Kayla Koehnlein. Rachael Granatir and Robin Wedlake were named honorary degree recipients, Adrienne Granatir and Noah Lucas earned Star Greenhand Awards and Leila Sudvary received the Star Chapter Farmer honors.

Additionally, Maddie Granatir and Jon Whitlatch were recognized as outstanding junior and senior, and Bella Evans was honored with the 100% Blue and Gold Award. Proficiency awards were given to Bella Evans for swine entrepreneurship, Leila Sudvary for goat entrepreneurship, Mimi Ault for equine placement, Steve Vahalik for diversified Ag placement and Jon Whitlatch for outdoor power placement, Ag mechanics repair and maintenance placement.

CRESTON, Ohio — Norwayne FFA will host its annual plant sale on May 9 at 10 a.m. in the parking lot of Norwayne High School, 350 S Main St., Creston. Members have been growing and starting a variety of flowers and vegetables to sell, including peppers and tomatoes. Hanging planters will also be for sale and the event will feature a potting station. The community is encouraged to attend to support the Norwayne FFA Chapter.

WEST SALEM, Ohio — The Northwestern Wayne FFA chapter participated in a Ministry Day of Service on March 20 where members cut, split and stacked firewood for the local church that provides firewood to local residents in need. Students learned about the true meaning of service and the impact it has on the community. The chapter thanks everyone who helped make the service day possible and for the opportunity to give back.

WEST SALEM, Ohio — Northwestern Wayne FFA hosted a Spring Fling on March 26 where members enjoyed playing cornhole, card games and nine-square and listened to music. Hotdogs, chips and ice cream sandwiches were provided. Members in attendance were Makenna Connelly, Brooke Hershey, Brooke Bittle, Madison Miller, Emma Connelly, Brennan Flinn, Alivia Aicone, Savanna Lemon, Marissa Smith, Gage Bias, Tessa Buzzard, Kaidis Porter, Emily West, Hank Morris, Mason Mobley, Kashmiere Woods, Alivia Welch, Blaze Wiley, Westin Frazier, Jacelyn Cherry, Kate Johnson, Addy Connelly, Madi Smith, Laci Butler, Clara Saal, Colton Morris, Maddie Morris, Jesse Hanshaw, Keaton Harris, Camden Napier and Kaylee Cherry.
