Summer’s not over…start reading! There’s still time to grab one of these titles from Bon Appetit’s list of 20 new food books to read this summer.

Yes, you need a taco emoji. L.A. Magazine wasn’t content with the standard taco emojis, so it asked graphic designers to come up with a new one, and then asked the public to pick the one with the best crunch. You can download it, too.

So you say you have a lot of zucchini. Don’t miss Aug. 8: National Sneak Some Zucchini onto Your Neighbor’s Porch Day. The creator came up with a top 20 list of how to get rid of the prolific garden bounty, and we like No. 2: Look for out-of-the-way places which have signs posted, “Clean Fill Wanted.” Via WellCat.

Not a bad idea. St. Luke’s Hospital in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, began sending new moms home with fresh produce, recipes and information about healthy eating. It’s trending in other locations, too. Civil Eats has more on the healthy food movement in hospitals.

This burger may stir up controversy. A Dutch professor of vascular physiology and tissue engineering put a $300,000 price tag on the recipe for a hamburger he created in a lab with stem cells from a cow. Steaks are next. Via Institute of Food Technologists.
