A special Service of Ordination Into the Ministry of Word and Sacrament for four Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) seminary graduates will be held at Zion Lutheran Church, Youngstown. Bishop Abraham D. Allende of the Northeastern Ohio Synod will preach and preside at Holy Communion. Host Pastor Duane Jesse will offer greetings on behalf of the people of Zion, Youngstown. A reception follows.
This unique worship service typically draws many worshippers and guests and will set apart four seminary graduates to serve as ordained pastors in congregations of the ELCA in Northeast Ohio.
