President Abraham Lincoln visited Gettysburg, Pennsylvania on November 19, 1863 and delivered a speech that continues to thrill and inspire people over one hundred and fifty years later. Salem Public Library invites you to join Dr. Troy D. Harman, via Zoom, on Monday, January 25, 2021, 6:30-7:30 pm for a discussion of the events surrounding that day.

Dr. Harman teaches U.S. and European history at university level. He has also been a guide with the National Park Service for over thirty-five years, with many of those years spent as a guide at Gettysburg National Military Park. Dr. Harman has published two books and many articles. His lectures may be found on YouTube.
Troy Harman received his Ph.D. in history from Lehigh University, his MA in history from Shippensburg University, and his BA in history from the University of Lynchburg.
