The past decade has witnessed amazing scientific and medical advances that permit many diseases and conditions to be diagnosed earlier and to be treated more effectively, with end result of longer high-quality life for individuals. For this reason it is intriguing to know that about 40% of the U.S. population is using complementary and alternative therapies.
