WKBN reports that an accident on the bridge over Lake Milton in Mahoning County claimed the lives of one man, three horses and a dog Thursday afternoon.
The accident occurred on Route 76 eastbound when the driver of a pickup truck hauling a trailer collided with a passenger car ahead of it while the car was changing lanes. The pickup truck rolled, collided with the bridge and then struck a tractor trailer.
The horse trailer was hauling 10 thoroughbred horses. A local farmer assisted with the horses at the scene of the accident. The news station reports that the seven horses that survived are being treated for injuries by a local veterinarian.

I’M GOING OUT ON A LIMB AND GONNA SAY NO MATTER WHAT MANUFACTURER, THE TRAILER WOULD HAVE TO BE RATED FOR OVER 16,001 LBS……. IF IT’S DESIGNED TO TRANSPORT 10 HORSES, TACK, ETC. DO THE MATH.
