SULLIVAN, Ohio — The Black River FFA chapter held a petting zoo for more than 700 Pre-K through eighth-grade students at the Black River Education Center May 19.

They had farm animals and pets including lambs, goats, dairy cows, a potbellied pig, miniature horses and a miniature donkey, a rabbit and a chinchilla. Members of the chapter brought in animals and gave presentations about their species.

In addition, the chapter had a thank you card station for the students to color and write thank you cards for local farmers.
