UTICA, Ohio — The Utica FFA chapter hosted a watch party that 35 members attended for the online national convention’s session that included the national chapter awards, agricultural proficiency awards, Yomar Roman’s retiring address and many other awards and events.

It also celebrated graduates Seth Blake and Trina Orr for earning their American FFA Degrees, which less than 1% of all FFA members earn.

Utica FFA’s first career development event this year was the state ag and urban soils CDE. The ag team was composed of Emily Hill, Abby Paxton and Kenneth Davenport. The team placed 74th out of 164 teams. The urban team placed 93rd out of 108 teams.

COLLINS, Ohio — Western Reserve High School FFA members Katie Woodruff placed second and Holden Nuhn placed ninth in the district in the job interviews on a Zoom call Nov. 11

SULLIVAN, Ohio — The Black River FFA Forestry Team participated in the 2020 virtual State Forestry Career Development Event. This year’s team consisted of Chloee Howard, Katlyn Kubitz, Cassidy Mrakuzic, Abby Groesser and Madison Bias. The team earned 28th place out of 47 teams in the competition.
