FRAZEYSBURG, Ohio — Amy Galehouse of Galehouse Tree Farm in Doylestown was inducted into the Ohio Christmas Tree Association Hall of Fame at the association’s winter meeting on the campus of Ohio State University.

Galehouse is best known for her tireless efforts with Operation Evergreen in assuring as many trees, ornaments and holiday greetings as possible are sent to our armed forces stationed overseas. Without her dedication and hard work, the program would not be as successful.

Galehouse has been very involved in the state association, serving as president and numerous committee chairs.

More awards

Other individuals recognized during the meeting include Lyle Bailey of Bailey’s Christmas Tree Farm in Trumbull County, who received the Golden Light Bulb Award for his county fair display; and Dave Reese of Kaleidoscope Farms in Hancock County, who won grand champion in the photo contest.

The Ohio Christmas Tree Association will hold it’s summer meeting July 18-19 with Killbuck Farms and Twinsberry Tree Farms in Wayne county hosting the two-day event.
