Ohioans can speak out on proposed FSA office closures

COLUMBUS — Steven D. Maurer, state executive director for Ohio Farm Service Agency, and members of his management team have scheduled public meetings in five Ohio counties where FSA offices are being considered for proposed consolidation.

The Meigs County meeting was held Jan. 24. Written comments need to be emailed or postmarked by Feb. 3.

The Perry County meeting is scheduled for Jan. 26, between 10 a.m. and noon at the Somerset American Legion Post 58, 107 East Gay Street, Somerset, Ohio. Written comments need to be emailed or postmarked by Feb. 5.

The Montgomery County meeting is Jan. 30, from 1-3 p.m. at the Golden Gate Park, Leiber Center, 545 E. Upper Lewisburg Salem Road, Brookville, Ohio. Written comments need to be emailed or postmarked by Feb. 9.

The Clark County meeting is Feb. 1, 1-3 p.m. at the Clark County Fairgrounds, The Annex Building, 4401 South Charleston Pike, Springfield, Ohio. Written comments need to be emailed or postmarked by Feb. 11.

The Carroll County meeting is Feb. 2, 1-3 p.m. at the Carroll County Friendship Center, 100 Kensington Road, Carrollton. Written comments need to be emailed or postmarked by Feb. 12.
