Join ODNR Beaver Creek State Park Naturalist Mike Mainhart on October 25, 2017, at 6:30 p.m. in the Quaker Room at Salem Public Library for a presentation featuring one of Ohio’s most fascinating and secretive predatory animals, the bobcat. The bobcat is a species native to Ohio, but they were extirpated from the state in 1850. Since the mid-1900s, this elusive animal has made a steady comeback. Bobcats are currently documented in many Ohio counties, especially in the eastern and southern areas of the state. In addition to the presentation covering interesting facts about bobcats, Mike will have a pelt, skull and numerous photos.
