Join us at the Hudson Valley Farm Hub for this twilight meeting to explore farmer and apprentice relationships. How can farmers and apprentices co-create a learning environment that hones their skills and meets their farming goals? We’ll be joined by our professional farmer trainees, who will share their experiences as first-year “ProFarmers.” A field-based activity is planned to demonstrate the unique learning environment we’ve been creating at the Farm Hub. In addition, the NOFA-NY team will lead a discussion about their recently produced On-Farm Skills Guide, a tool for farmers and apprentices to plan, monitor, and encourage the work-learn process.
Registration fees are $15/person or $25 for two or more people/farm. This event is sponsored by NOFA-NY through the NYFVI Beginning Farmer grant. To register please visit www.nofany.org or call 585-271-1979.
