The Twenty-Second Anniversary Concert of Dulci-More: Folk & Traditional Musicians is free and all are welcome to attend. It will start at 2:30 PM on Sunday, February 8, 2015 in the Sanctuary of the First United Methodist Church of Salem, 244 South Broadway Avenue, Salem, OH 44460. Church parking lots are to the north and south of the church. The handicapped entrance and elevator are from the parking lot south of the church.

The theme for the concert will be Civil War Era Songs. Dulci-More members will sing and play songs and tunes from that era in commemoration of the 150th year since the end of the Civil War. Many of the songs are great for group singing, and words will be provided to encourage audience participation. Individual Dulci-More members may sing and/or play mountain dulcimers, hammered dulcimers, guitars, autoharps, fiddles, mandolins, banjos, ukuleles, psalteries, bass, harmonicas, recorders, jug, and more. About 20 members are planning to perform.

Members of the 105th Ohio Volunteer Infantry in uniforms and period clothing are expected to be on hand to greet folks, to share information about the Civil War, and to help in providing narration for the program.

No tickets or reservations are needed for this anniversary concert. There is no charge. Everyone is welcome to attend. Cookies and punch will be served during intermission. For more information or directions, contact Bill Schilling at 234-564-3852 or bill@dulcimore.org or check on the web at www.dulcimore.org for more information about the club.

Since its founding in January of 1993, Dulci-More has met twice a month to enjoy playing and singing. The group averages about two performances a month for festivals, fairs, schools, churches, clubs, nursing homes, and others. Its members come from Northeast Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and beyond. Dulci-More will also present a Spring Concert Series in the Meeting Room of the Dale Shaffer Research Library featuring Hunter Walker from Beckley, West Virginia on Saturday, March 14 at 7 PM and Jan Hammond & Paul Conrad from Wadsworth & Millersburg on Sunday, April 26 at 2:30 PM. Dulci-More will also present Dulci-More Festival 20 over Memorial Day weekend at Boy Scout Camp McKinley in Lisbon with workshops on many instruments, singing, and other subjects at all levels and concerts by many of our favorite recording artists and nationally known and local performers.
