FAMILY AND FRIENDS CPR COURSE COMING TO SALEM PUBLIC LIBRARY

In an emergency the time needed to save a life is precious. Learning and maintaining basic lifesaving skills may make the difference between life and death for a loved-one or a stranger in need of help. The American Heart Association’s Family and Friends CPR Course provides hands on, supervised instruction in adult Hands-Only CPR, child CPR with breaths, adult and child AED (automatic external defibrillator) use, infant CPR and relief of choking in an adult, child or infant. The course will be taught by Abby Bennett, BSN, RN of Salem Regional Medical Center, Salem, Ohio at Salem Public Library’s Wellness Wednesday program on October 12, 2016 from 6:30-7:30pm., in the library’s Quaker Meeting Room.
Family and Friends CPR is for those who would like to learn CPR but will not need a course completion card for their employment. The course is suitable for students, new parents, grandparents, babysitters and all others who would like to know skills that might help to save a life.
Seating is limited and registration is required online at www.salem. lib.oh.us . For registration assistance please call the library at 330-332-0042. The program is free of cost, open to the public, and no library card is required to attend.
