The Great Barrier Reef, located along the northeast coast of Queensland, Australia, is one of the world’s seven natural wonders, is longer than the Great Wall of China and can be seen from outer space! Amazing! On November 2, 2016 beginning at 6:30pm Salem Public Library and Salem Parks and Recreation Department will host a fascinating program titled “Introduction to the Great Barrier Reef” which will be presented via video conferencing by Reef HQ Aquarium in Australia. During the program attendees will observe live sea creatures, experience the habitats, ecosystems and behaviors of reef creatures; develop an appreciation for healthy ecosystems and much, much more!
This program is suitable for an audience of children, teens and adults. It is open to the public and free of cost to attend. Registration is required and seating is limited. Register online at www.salem.lib.oh.us or call the library at 330-332-0042 for assistance.
This “Go Wild in the Park” program is provided through a partnership of Salem Parks and Recreation Department and Salem Public Library.
