Salem Public Library is adding an exciting new program series to our broad selection of educational and entertaining programming for all ages. The series “Live from Anywhere!” will feature interactive videoconferencing programs from around the world and will be presented in the library’s Quaker Meeting Room.
Beginning on February 6, 2017 from 6:30-7:30pm the first program will be “Ducks in Danger!” presented by Livingston Waterfowl Conservancy of Litchfield, Connecticut. Focusing on endangered species and using waterfowl as a model, discussion will concentrate on how it is decided and who decides that a species is endangered, what factors lead to the decline of a species and what Livingston Ripley Waterfowl Conservancy is doing for these species. To be seen throughout the program will be avian ambassadors, photos, videos and live birds.
Throughout the remainder of the year topics such as art, history, sports, the supernatural, and holiday tradition will be featured at these programs. Don’t miss the “Live from Anywhere” opportunities this series provides to explore your world.
Registration is required for all “Live from Anywhere!” programming and may be done online at www.salem.lib.oh.us, by calling the library at 330-332-0042, emailing the library: library@salem.lib.oh.us or by stopping in at 821 E. State St., Salem, OH 44460.
