Columbus, Ohio, July 11-15, 2016 –A week long day camp is under way on The Ohio State University campus. Twenty-four campers will stretch their imagination by participating in innovative, hands-on learning experiences focused on science, technology, engineering and math. 4-H STEM Day Camp is sponsored by Scotts Miracle-Gro and the Ohio State College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences.

Attendees are taking the opportunity to discover and explore robotics, coding, food science, biotechnology, plant science and more while engaging with 4-H educators, Scotts associates and OSU faculty. Campers are participating in science activities, tours, and demonstrations.

• On Wednesday, July 13, campers are taking a field trip with hands-on activities at Scotts Miracle-Gro Company in Marysville.
• On Thursday, campers are visiting Waterman Dairy Center, and learning about dairy foods with Dr. Bob Horton, a professor and Ohio State Extension science expert with Dr. Mary Kay Pohlschneider, a food science lecturer.
• On Friday, activities include programming from the College of Engineering and a scavenger hunt with parents.
