“Herbs and Supplements: Helpful or Harmful?” will be the topic when Brian J. Sabol, Pharm D/Clinical Pharmacy Specialist at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital speaks at the April 12, 2017 Wellness Wednesday program. Dr. Sabol’s presentation will focus on defining the Dietary Supplement, Health and Education Act (DSHEA), and provide an explanation of the FDA’s role in the oversight of herbal products. He will also discuss the safety of herbal products and explain possible drug interactions resulting from herbal products.
The one-hour program will begin at 6:30pm in Salem Public Library’s Quaker Room located at 821 E. State St., Salem, OH 44460. Registration is requested online at www.salem.lib.oh.us, or by calling the library at 330-332-0042 for registration assistance.
Wellness Wednesday is a program series that takes place on the second Wednesday of each month and features presentations and discussions about a variety of health and wellness topics. Each program is open to the public and free of cost to attend.
