Come to Salem Public Library on March 1, 2017 at 6:30 pm to attend a family-friendly program titled “Wonders of Ohio’s Woodpeckers “ and to meet program presenter, Mike Mainhart, the new naturalist at Beaver Creek and Guilford Lake State Parks. Mr. Mainhart will lead a discussion about the several woodpecker species found in Ohio and he will share techniques for creating a backyard habitat for viewing and photographing woodpeckers and other birds.
Not only is Mr. Mainhart an Ohio State Parks naturalist, he is an award-winning wildlife photographer, free-lance writer and trustee of the Outdoor Writers of Ohio publication.
This program is an offering in the “Go Wild in the Park” series, which is provided through a partnership of the Salem Parks and Recreation Department and Salem Public Library. “Go Wild in the Park” programming is provided free of cost to attend and open to the public.
