2003 Union County tour of gardens is July 13


MARYSVILLE, Ohio – The Union County Tour of Gardens offers attendees a drive through rural Union County to view selected private gardens which feature a variety of gardening elements including native plants, shade and sun gardens July 13 from noon to 5 p.m.

This year’s theme will focus on Ohio’s flora and fauna and heirloom gardening.

Layouts of the garden, lists of plants, and having each shrub, tree, and flower labeled, allows those touring the gardens to identify mature plants as well as view them in landscape settings.

Master Gardeners as well as the garden owners are available to answer questions and discuss gardening. OSU Fact Sheets relating to each garden can be obtained during the tour.

Plant giveaways, recipes, refreshments are just a few of the “extras” that will be included.
