Buckeye Junior Hereford youth win

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Ohio Buckeye Junior Hereford Association hosted the Eastern Regional Prime Time Junior Hereford Show July 11 at the Allen County Fairgrounds in Lima.

Exhibitors from across the state of Ohio, Michigan and Kentucky exhibited 86 head of quality Hereford cattle before judge Tom Biglieni of Republic, Mo.

Winners. Grand champion heifer was shown by Austin Matheny, Mays Lick, Ky., with KSU Miss 6052F 308 ET by HH Advance 6052F.

Reserve grand champion heifer went to Heather Bradford, St. Marys, Ohio, with AA NED Bizzy by S&S Kodiak 72G.

Grand champion bred-and-owned heifer: Brandi and Cody Herman, Continental, Ohio, with SSF Ms Online H303 by Remitall Online l22L. Reserve grand champion bred-and-owned heifer: Brandi and Cody Herman with SSF 011 Bonita’s Legend 320 by Feltons Legend 242.

Champion cow-calf pair: Cody and Paige Morrison, Lexington, Ohio, with MSF 19D Lady Wrangler l40L and an April bull calf by Feltons Legend 242.

Reserve champion cow-calf pair: Kyndall Williams, Mt. Gilead, Ohio, with PK WMS Sweetie 0204 and a February bull calf by Barhaven Stryker 700E 26L.

Male classes. Grand champion bred-and-owned bull: Wyatt Flatter, Yellow Springs, Ohio, with FHF Red Ice by RF Positive Plus 73C.

Reserve grand champion bred-and-owned bull: Erika Ostgaard, Dayton, Ohio, with OCC Gold Bullion A24 by C-S Pure Gold 98170.

Champion steer: Cody Herman with a 1,200-pound steer. Reserve champion steer: Derik Billman, Newcomerstown, Ohio, with an 1,180-pound steer.

Showmanship. Showmanship winners were Kyndall Williams, champion peewee; Keayla Harr, Jeromesville, Ohio, reserve champion peewee;
