COLUMBIANA, Ohio – The Columbiana-Mahoning County Cattlemen’s Association held their annual Steer and Heifer Preview Show June 7.
The show attracted more than 60 head of steers and heifers from the tri-state area.
Tom Modro from Salesville, Ohio, evaluated the cattle. He chose the entry of Shane Cebulak of Morgantown, W.Va., as the champion steer and Julie Clemson of Chardon, Ohio, exhibited the reserve champion steer.
The champion heifer award went to Denelle Billman of Newcomerstown, Ohio, and Scott Puzacke from New Philadelphia, Ohio, exhibited the reserve champion heifer.
Steer show. The division winners in the steer show were:
Division I, Julie Clemson; Division 2, Jeremy Barbour; Division 3, Shane Cebulak; Division 4, Dan Ahrens; Division 5, Keirsten Harris; Division 6, Matt Dutko; and Columbiana-Mahoning Division, Christina Shinn.
Heifer show. The division winners in the heifer show were:
Hereford heifers, Denelle Billman; Maine-Anjou heifers, Scott Puzacke; Shorthorn heifers, Courtney Frame; and Crossbred heifers, Matt Baird
Showmanship. Showmanship winners included:
Junior division, Keirsten Harris; intermediate division, Denelle Billman; and senior division, Christina Shinn.
