flakes

A variety snowflakes that are simply ice crystals formed by condensation in the air. Photographed by the Multi-Angle Snowflake Camera developed at the University of Utah and its spinoff company, Fallgatter Technologies.
The more rounded structures in these snowflakes are caused by riming, which is when thousands of tiny droplets in clouds coat a snowflake to create a pellet known as graupel.
