CARROLLTON, Ohio — The East Township Young Producers 4-H club met Aug. 15 with 25 members in attendance.

Members received tickets to sell for their annual fundraiser, with the winner to be drawn at the November meeting.

Members filled out their honor member forms.

Dalton Ulman gave a demonstration on different ways to cast a fishing pole and Jill Borland gave a demonstration on how to use hand sanitizer.

Borland also gave a health talk on when to wash your hands.

The next meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 21 at St. John’s Hall.

NORTH JACKSON, Ohio — The Jackson Milton Livestock 4-H club met Aug. 2 at the Horvath’s Farm.

Jane Kramer, Randy Horvath, Kelly King and Joe Toporcer demonstrated showmanship techniques to the club. The members were able to practice showing different animals so they would be ready to participate in the Canfield Fair.

The Handles Ice Cream pint card sale ended Aug. 24.

The club also met Aug. 24 at Rich and Jane Kramer’s house.

Members will set up at 2 p.m. Aug. 30 at the Canfield Fair.

A poultry sale will be held at 5:30 p.m. Sept. 3 and a lamb and swine sale will be held at 7 p.m. On Sept. 4, a goat milk fudge sale and a rabbit meat pen sale will be held at 5:30 p.m., and a market beef sale at 7 p.m., followed by a market feeder sale.

The next meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Sept. 24 at the North Jackson Township Building.
