‘Gemboree’ spotlights the beauty of stones, fossils

CUYAHOGA FALLS, Ohio – The semiannual Gemboree will be held Oct. 26-27 at Emidio and Sons Expo Center, 48 E. Bath Road, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio.

Show hours Saturday are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The Gemboree features demonstrations of faceting, polishing of stones, working silver into jewelry and bead stringing.

The Buckeye State’s gemstone, Ohio Flint, will be featured in members’ displays.

Other exhibits will feature minerals, fossils, faceted crystals, jewelry and polished stones.

The 21 dealers participating in the Gemboree will have for sale cut slabs, finished stones, lapidary materials and jewelry.

Food service is available and parking is free. Children are welcome and always have fun uncovering polished stones and crystals at the Gem Mine and visiting the children’s craft table.

Details. Admission is $3 for adults, $2 for seniors and students. Children under 12 accompanied by an adult are 50 cents.
