Pa. chooses new lamb and wool queen

MERCER, Pa. – Rebecca Giles of Belle Vernon, Pa., has been crowned the 2008 Pennsylvania Lamb and Wool Queen.
A sophomore at California University of Pennsylvania, Giles, 20, will start her reign at the 2008 Pennsylvania Farm Show.
Giles was also the 2006 Fayette County fair queen.
The crowning. She was crowned Nov. 10 by Faith Huston of Armstrong County at the Shepherd’s Symposium and annual meeting. Huston is the 2007 Pennsylvania Lamb and Wool Queen and the Pennsylvania Fair Queen.
The first runner-up and 2008 Pennsylvania Lamb and Wool Princess is Mallory Ketterer, 17, of Bernville, Pa. She the 2006-2007 Berks County Lamb and Wool Queen.
