Editor:

I am a salesman for a 1,000 acre wholesale nursery in Lake County, Ohio and have subscribed to your newspaper for the last 10 years.

Your paper has always been a wealth of relevant information. The horticulture industry deals with a lot of the same problems as agriculture such as immigrant labor issues, conservation and undue governmental regulation.

For our industry to succeed, we must return to a time when we can have open discussions on all topics both agricultural and political without fear of being demonized, categorized, and labeled as being “left” or “right.”

I’ve read your editorial columns since you have become editor and I didn’t really know what to think of you. I understand now. You stand for what is good, true, and right. I want to wish you well in your journalistic endeavors. Please keep up the good work.
