Salatin speaking at sustainable ag conference

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Southern Sustainable Agriculture Working Group will hold its 17th annual conference Jan. 16-19 in Louisville, Ky., in the downtown Galt House Hotel and Suites.
Joel Salatin, this year’s keynote speaker, will address the gathering at the Taste of Kentucky Dinner on the topic of healing the planet, one plate at a time.
Earlier in the schedule, Wendell Berry, Kentucky farmer and renowned author, will be part of a conversation on the necessary work of sustainable agriculture.
The preconference offerings begin at noon Jan. 16 and include: eight intensive short courses, five field trips and six new hands-on activities.
Then Jan. 18, the conference begins and includes 62 sessions to choose from and 20 U-Pick networking meetings for sharing and learning from each other.
