A man was attacked by a black bear in the Mount Nebo area of Nicholas County, West Virginia, Aug. 26, when he crossed paths with a cub. Although the West Virginia Division of Natural Resources believes this to be a defensive attack, residents are reminded that wild animals attacks are unpredictable.
