EAST CANTON — Robert A. Pero, 91, of East Canton, died Jan. 23, 2015, in Aultman Compassionate Care.
He was born Aug. 14, 1923, in Louisville, Ohio, to the late John F. and Marie M. (Besselman) Pero.
Pero was a Osnaburg Township resident since 1937 and was the retired former owner/operator of Pero Dairy Farm for 38 years. He was a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church, the National Farmers Organization and Harrisburg Senior Citizens. Pero was a World War II Army veteran.
In addition to his parents, Pero is preceded in death by his wife, Mildred M. Pero, and two sisters, Lucille Eberhardt and Lillian Shaw.
He is survived by four children, Richard “Dick” Pero, of East Canton, Marilyn Kauffman, of Green, Ohio, Jean Davis, of Bluffton, Soth Carolina, Jane Kalpac, of Greenwood, South Carolina; nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held Jan. 28 in St. Benedict Catholic Church. Burial was in St. Louis Cemetery.
