Perfect Pecan Pie

Ingredients for the crust:

  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/8 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/8 cup milk
  • pinch of salt

Ingredients for the filling:

  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 cup dark brown sugar, packed
  • 3 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 6 tbsp. unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 cups pecans

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 F. Coat a 9-inch pie plate with nonstick cooking spray or butter.
  2. Place all filling ingredients in a bowl and stir to combine. Set the filling aside.
  3. For the crust, add flour to a bowl and add butter to flour a little at a time, and cream it together. Then add the rest of the ingredients and combine until dough forms.
  4. Roll out pie crust on a floured surface and place it in pie pan.
  5. Add filling to the crust and bake for 45 to 50 minutes.
  6. Remove from the oven and cool completely before serving.
  7. Serve plain or with ice cream or whipped cream. Enjoy!
