  • 4 egg whites*
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon white vinegar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup walnuts, chopped


Beat egg whites at high speed two minutes. Add sugar, vinegar and salt and continue beating until mixture forms stiff peaks. Fold in walnuts and drop by teaspoonsful onto cookie sheet. Bake on center oven rack at 275° 50 minutes. Makes 20 to 24.
