The governments of the United States, Mexico and Canada have reached an agreement to roll back metal tariffs, known as Section 232 tariffs, a move that could hasten passage of the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement.

Even with negative crop news, the USMCA trade agreement helped grain prices continue the recent rally.

Grain prices were lower on the Chicago Board of Trade Monday, Jan. 23, and our new President got the blame.

What will it take for politicians to publicly recognize free trade agreements as mostly illusion or climate change as a reality? Maybe an earthquake.

Despite the bile pouring out the nation’s capital, there still are three daily events in Washington, D.C. that every American can count on: sunrise, sunset and U.S. farm groups’ unwavering support for “free” trade.

We in agriculture talk about free trade agreements as if they are the international equivalent of a free lunch, there is no such thing.
