Farming comes pretty naturally for Kelly McKelvey, of McKelvey Dairy in Fredericksburg, Ohio. At 60 years old, it’s the only job he has ever had. His extensive conservation practices earned him the Wayne Soil and Water Conservation District’s Cooperator of the Year award to which he says, “I just did what I felt was the right thing to do for my farm.” (Catie Noyes photos)
